JAMMU, OCTOBER 11: Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar today visited District Hospital Ramban to review the functioning of the hospital and assess the quality of healthcare services being provided to the patients.
During the visit, the Director took a detailed tour of various sections of the hospital including the OPD, Emergency, IPD, Labour Room, Operation Theatre and Diagnostic Units. He interacted with the medical, paramedical and administrative staff and took firsthand feedback regarding the availability of medicines, manpower and patient care facilities.
DHS also took a review meeting on the status of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and overall work done under the concerned officers to ensure punctuality, proper record keeping and cleanliness in and around the hospital premises. He stressed on improving emergency and referral services and emphasized the importance of implementing all national health programmes in letter and spirit.
Dr. Zargar appreciated the dedication of the healthcare staff working in difficult terrain and assured them of full support from the Directorate in strengthening health services across Ramban district.
The visit concluded with an interactive session with hospital authorities and local health officers where Dr. Zargar directed for regular monitoring of health services, optimal utilization of available resources and prompt redressal of public grievances.
