Director Agri (K) reviews preparations for valley wide vegetable seedling distribution drive

Srinagar: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal Saturday took stock of the preparations for the distribution of seedlings among the farmers and agriculture entrepreneurs.
The Director visited different seedling production infrastructure in various districts of the region and talked to the technical experts and concerned officers to ensure that all the preparations for the valley wide vegetable seedling distribution drive are completed well in time.
He said that the valley wide seedling distribution will commence from the second fortnight of this month in a phased manner. He said in addition to the commercial vegetable cultivation, the vegetable enterprise is being adopted by the kitchen garden lovers, backyard farmers throughout the region and has therefore raised the demand for vegetable seedlings manifold.
Director asked the concerned officers and other technical experts to work in close coordination so that the seedling distribution drive could be made successful.
