BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 11: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), the District Administration Bandipora today organized an IEC awareness programme at Sub-District Hospital Sumbal to educate the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a healthy, substance-free lifestyle.

The programme witnessed active participation from members of the public and was attended by officials from the Department of Health; Social Welfare, ARTO, RDD, and Youth Services & Sports.

The initiative aimed to strengthen awareness at the grassroots level and promote collective responsibility in addressing the issue of substance abuse.

Resource persons delivered informative sessions highlighting the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug addiction. The speakers stressed the importance of early awareness, community involvement, and informed decision-making among youth and society at large.

Participants actively engaged in interactive discussions and shared their views during the session. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to continue such awareness initiatives to build a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.
