The Kishtwar Forest Division organized an awareness program on reducing single-use plastic, along with a tree plantation drive at Government Higher Secondary School Badhat engaging the youth and citizens in sustainable practices.

The Health Department conducted a series of health camps and awareness sessions under the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’, emphasizing menstrual hygiene, women’s health, and overall family well-being.

The ICDS department also organised an intensive door-to-door campaign to raise awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) and Ladli Beti schemes ensuring that benefits reach every eligible household.

The Municipal Council Kishtwar, in collaboration with students from J.N. Shastri Memorial School, Urban Local Body (ULB) staff and Swachhata Executives, conducted a major cleanliness drive and beautification of the Cleanliness Target Unit (CTU) through plantation and community engagement.

A separate cleanliness drive was also executed in Ward No. 6 (Commercial Area), where citizens were encouraged to adopt hygienic practices and sensitized about the benefits of the Swachhta App for active civic participation.
