PULWAMA, JULY 15: District Administration Pulwama today started a two-day training programme for Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across the district.
The training sessions are being conducted under the supervision of District Election Officer, Dr. Basharat Qayoom and aim to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the election process.
Sessions are being conducted by District Level Master Trainers and are being held simultaneously across all the four assembly constituencies of the district.
Concerned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) were also present on the occasion to oversee the training sessions.
These sessions emphasized the role of BLOs as the grassroots facilitators of the Election Commission of India and stressed the need for accuracy, transparency and accountability in maintaining electoral rolls.
The sessions focused on crucial aspects of electoral roll management, including the conduct of House-to-House verification and the correct procedures for filling Forms related to Addition, Deletion, Correction and transposition of entries in the electoral rolls.
A dedicated doubt-clearing session was also held at each venue to address queries raised by the participants.
