KATHUA, JUNE 24: The Special District Level Review Committee (DLRC)/District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting for the quarter was convened today at the District Development Commissioner Office Kathua to review the performance of banks, credit flow and implementation of priority sector schemes in the district.

The meeting was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Surinder Mohan Sharma. Progress was reviewed under key banking indicators including the Credit Deposit (CD) Ratio, deposits, advances under priority sector, disposal and disbursement under Kisan Credit Card (KCC), New KCC schemes covering Dairy, Poultry, Fisheries and Sheep Husbandry, PMEGP through KVIB/KVIC/DIC, NULM, NRLM Self Help Groups and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.

The ADDC directed banks and line departments to ensure timely reconciliation and disposal of sponsored loan applications and strengthen credit linkage of eligible beneficiaries under government-sponsored schemes. Banks were directed to prepare bank-specific action plans to raise the present CD Ratio by the end of the financial year, and to ensure saturation coverage of eligible beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.

Special awareness camps for social welfare schemes are to be organised with active participation of banks and departments concerned. Banks and departments were also called upon to intensify awareness programmes for farmers, entrepreneurs and skilled youth on available financial schemes, with focused efforts to promote new enterprises.

Manager LDO RBI Amandeep Singh stressed the need to strengthen banking facilities in unbanked rural centres of the district, directed that the latest CSP/BC branch-wise list be shared and inactive BC/CSP points be activated, and emphasised strict adherence to regulatory guidelines by BC/CSPs.

DDM NABARD Nipun Sharma presented the Pre-Linked Credit Plan (PLP) for 2026-27, which will serve as the foundation for the Annual District Credit Plan. The PLP envisages a total credit potential of ₹2,251.76 crore under the priority sector, covering Agriculture, MSME, Solar Energy, Food and Agro Processing, Export Credit, Education and Housing.

Among those present were General Manager DIC Mushtaq Choudhary, Manager LDO RBI Amandeep Singh, DDM NABARD Nipun Sharma, SBI LDM Kathua Aman Jasrotia and senior officers from banks and line departments.
