DLSA Kathua organises Free Medical Health Camp for Jail Inmates

KATHUA, DECEMBER 21: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua on Saturday organised a free medical health check up camp for inmates of District Jail Kathua.

The camp was held under the guidance and directions of Chairman DLSA Jatinder Singh Jamwal (Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua) who formally inaugurated the camp.

The camp was organised by the DLSA Secretary (Sub-Judge) Kamiya Singh Andotra in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vijay Raina.

Dr. Vimal Kumar (Consultant Physician), Dr. Vikas Gupta (Consultant Surgeon), Dr. Surinder Kumar (Medical Officer Orthopaedics), Dr. Pallvi Jamwal (Medical Officer Ophthalmology), Dr. Ashwani Kumar (Medical Officer ENT Surgeon) and Dr. Mehtab Singh Bhagat (Medical Officer) attended the camp and examined the inmates.

Besides, they also gave counselling, medical advice to the inmates. The camp also offered eye sight checkups, orthopaedic consultation, ENT check up and general check up to the inmates.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman DLSA Kathua said that the aim of the medical camp was to provide basic quality and specialised health services to the inmates.

As many as eighty five (85) inmates were examined by the team of Doctors/Specialists present in the camp.
