DLSA Kathua organises Special Lok Adalat on Traffic Challan & Electricity Bills

KATHUA, JUNE 08: As per the Action Plan issued by J&K Legal Services Authority for the month of June, 2024 and also under the guidance of Ashok Kumar Shavan, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Kathua (also Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Kathua), a Special Lok Adalat on Traffic Challan and Electricity Bills were organized by District Legal Services Authority Kathua at District Court Complex Kathua today.

Four Benches for settling the referred Traffic Challan and Electricity Bills cases were constituted in which Bench No. 1 was comprising of Cheena Sumbria, Munsiff JMIC Kathua and Neena Thakur, Ld. Distt Mobile Magistrate. Bench No.2 Jeevan Kumar Sharma, Munsiff JMIC, Basohli, and Advocate Shub Kumar, President, Bar Association Basohli Bench No. 3 was comprising of Poonam Gupta, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Billawar and Jyoti Bhagat, Munsiff JMIC, Billawar. Bench No. 4 was comprising of Rimpi Rani, Munsiff JMIC, Hiranagar and Vijay Kumar Sharma, President, Bar Association Hiranagar.

A total number of 187 Traffic Chalan cases were taken up for their amicable settlement out of which 187 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 2,34,500/- was realized as settlement amount.
