KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 30: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) for Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JK REGP), being implemented by the J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board, has approved 36 loan proposals to support local entrepreneurs in Kishtwar.

The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan.

The Committee meticulously reviewed and scrutinized the applications, eventually granting approval to 36 cases. The establishment of these units is expected to create new employment opportunities, contributing positively to Kishtwar’s economic development and livelihood support for residents.

The meeting was attended by ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal, JKAS; GM DIC/ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh; LDM Kishtwar Harsh Rawal; and representatives from RSETI, JKEDI, Polytechnic, JK Bank Cluster Office Kishtwar, led by Rajnesh Bhandari, as well as delegates from ITI Kishtwar and other stakeholders.

This initiative under JK REGP represents a proactive approach towards fostering rural employment in the region.
