Srinagar: National Conference (NC) President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday paid tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, on his 32nd martyrdom anniversary.
Paying rich tributes to Mirwaiz, Dr Farooq in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that Shaheed Mirwaiz was a persuasive, forceful, and well-versed orator with an unparalleled depth of insight, the profundity of scholarship and ease of illuminating exposition.
“On his martyrdom anniversary, I pay tributes to him, and pray to Almighty to elevate his stations in Jannat,” he said.
Recalling his immense contribution in the field of Islamic learning, theology and contemporary education, he said, “One of the standouts among the social-political and religious leaders, he will be remembered for rendering his responsibilities towards historic Jamia Masjid with devotion. On his martyrdom anniversary, I pay my earnest tributes to him. May Almighty elevate his station in Jannat.”
Dr Farooq also paid glowing tributes to the Founder of the People’s Conference and Former MLA Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone on his 22th martyrdom anniversary. While paying rich tributes to Lone, he said that Lone was an accomplished political leader and a distinguished legislator.
Among others Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, have also paid tributes to Shaheed e Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq and Shaheed Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone on their martyrdom anniversaries, praying for peace to them in the highest echelons of Jannat—(KNO)
