Srinagar: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar on Wednesday said that drone surveillance, CCTV Cameras and RFID will be part of three tier security for upcoming Amarnath Yatra.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the wreath laying ceremony of a policeman who was killed in Kreeri, Baramulla encounter IGP said that three militants belonging to Jaish e Mohammad militants outfit were killed in Baramulla encounter and they were planning attack at Srinagar.
Replying a query over security placed for upcoming yatra IGP said that they are making security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra for the last one month and have held many meetings.
“We will provide three-tier security. Drone surveillance, CCTV camera and RFID will be kept and we will ensure incident-free Yatra”, he added.
IGP further said that the cop killed in encounter was a brave man but at times they have to bear such collateral damage.(KNS)
