Bandipora, August 30: The Government Degree College Ajas Bandipora organised a historic event to commemorate the valor and dedication of our Veer Jawans, and to mark the grand conclusion of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh Maati Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan” Campaign.
The event was a vibrant tapestry of patriotism, culture, and gratitude. The ceremony commenced with the solemn Flag Hoisting and Singing of the National Anthem, followed by the heartfelt felicitation of the Veer Jawans.
The event began with the Unfurling of the National Flag against a backdrop of clear skies and gentle breeze. The dignitaries and the audience stood together in a moment of unity, their hearts swelled with national pride as the strains of the National Anthem filled the air. The flag hoisting ceremony served as a poignant reminder of our shared allegiance to the country.
The centrepiece of the event was the felicitation of the courageous Veer Jawans who have valiantly safeguarded our borders. The stage was graced by esteemed guests, including Prof. Parveen Kousar, Principal of the college, Insp. Sajad Ahmad, In-Charge Police Post Ajas and Mohammad Shaban Bhat, Chairman of Tehsil Welfare Committee Ajas and the Principal of Govt. Higher Secondary School Ajas. Their presence underscored the importance of honouring our heroes.
The Veer Jawans, adorned in their ceremonial uniforms, stood tall as the community showered them with applause and admiration.
