First NHM Employee from District Doda Retires; Accorded Grand Farewell

DODA, JUNE 29: After 17 years of dedicated service, Inayatullah Sheikh, an ISM Pharmacist at Govt PHC Bhella of Medical Block Thathri, District Doda, retired today at the age of 65.

To honor his contribution, the All J&K NHM Employees Association District Doda organized a grand farewell party at Shivalik Hotel & Restaurant. The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh; CMO Dr Om Kumar; Tehsildar Subuh Shad; BMO Ghat Dr Ab Gafoor; President NHM Employees Association Dr Nasir Masood Indrabi, along with other medical officers and staff.

Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh lauded Sheikh’s unwavering commitment and tireless service, wishing him a healthy and happy post-retirement life.

The CMO, Tehsildar and other speakers echoed these sentiments, highlighting Sheikh’s dedication and the positive impact of his work on the community. The event was also an opportunity to address the ongoing issues faced by NHM employees in J&K UT, emphasizing the need for comprehensive solutions, including retirement benefits.

As a gesture of appreciation, the NHM Employees Association presented Sheikh with a cheque for Rs One Lac, a shawl, a memento, and an appreciation certificate, all funded by contributions from NHM employees across the district. Reflecting on his journey, Sheikh shared his experiences, leaving a lasting impression on the department and its endeavors.
