JAMMU, DECEMBER 08: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today attended the annual prize distribution ceremony of MIER College of Education.

The event was organized to celebrate the remarkable talent, dedication and accomplishments of the students across multiple domains.

The Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees who excelled in academics, research, co-curricular activities, sports and community services.

He applauded their perseverance, passion and commitment, noting that their achievements serve as a powerful inspiration for other students.

Rana encouraged the students to continue pushing boundaries while being curious learners. He urged them to bring forth innovative ideas, work through challenges with resilience and strive for excellence in every sphere of life.

Emphasising the transformative power of education, the Minister encouraged the students to become agents of positive change in society. He highlighted the role of young people in nation-building and underscored the importance of channeling their knowledge and skills toward societal development.

Reiterating the significance of youth empowerment, Rana stressed the need to provide students with the right opportunities, mentorship and exposure. Such support, he noted, is essential for enabling them to compete confidently at national and international platforms.

The Minister lauded MIER College for cultivating a nurturing and forward-looking educational atmosphere. He acknowledged the dedication of the faculty and staff towards ensuring holistic development of students academically, personally and ethically.

Rana appreciated the institution’s focus on shaping future-ready leaders. He also commended the college’s modern infrastructure and effective integration of educational technology. He highlighted how faculty and students are leveraging digital tools to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

The Minister distributed prizes in categories such as academic toppers, community campaigners, sporting excellence, eco-warriors and several others.

Earlier, Professor Adit Gupta, Principal of MCE, highlighted the college’s accomplishments and its wide range of activities across different spheres.
