SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 24: In a continued effort to support the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) initiative, the Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW) Shopian today conducted two significant awareness programs at Government Girls High School, Kaprin and Government Middle School Wazir Chek, Imamsahib Shopian.
These events focused on raising awareness about the importance of protecting and educating the girl child, promoting gender equality, and fostering a more inclusive society.
The SHEW team emphasized the critical role of educating and empowering girls in shaping a progressive society. By addressing issues such as gender bias and the significance of equal opportunities for girls, the programs aimed to deepen the community’s understanding of the need to support girls’ education and well-being.
As part of their outreach efforts, stationary kits were distributed to underprivileged girls to aid in their educational journey, ensuring they have the necessary resources to pursue their studies.
