JAMMU, MARCH 11: The SPARSH Committee of Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling Cell, organised a series of events from March 7th to 11th to commemorate International Women’s Day.

The activities featured awareness lecture aimed to raise awareness on “What is SPARSH?,” by its convener Dr. Davinder Kour; a symposium on the impact of sexual harassment on mental health; a poster-making competition focusing on sexual harassment against women and its legal consequences; a short film, “Astitva”, emphasizing women’s empowerment

At the closing event the College Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and commended the efforts of the SPARSH Committee and Psychological Counselling Cell for successfully organizing these events, which played a crucial role in promoting awareness, empowerment and safety among students.

Meanwhile, the Road Safety Club of the College organized an awareness rally on the theme “Road Safety Rules.” The event aimed to emphasize the significance of road safety and responsible behaviour among commuters.

The rally witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, who marched with banners and placards displaying messages promoting safe driving practices, adherence to traffic rules, and the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts.
