REASI, AUGUST 03: As part of the activities conducted under the aegis of the Swachhata Pakhwada Programme, GDC Katra launched a mega cleanliness drive in the college campus. The programme was conducted under the able guidance of the esteemed Principal, Dr. Rajni Bhagat.
Various students participated in this drive, cleaning the classrooms and library of the college. Further, students also removed unwanted weeds from the campus ground, arranged desks, and cleared scattered pebbles the corner the boundary wall. The enlightened Principal apprised the students about the benefits of cleanliness. She asserted that as responsible citizens of the country, it is our duty to keep our surroundings neat and clean. Dr. Rajni also referenced the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, an initiative by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, aimed at making the country neat and clean.
Dr. Manisha Kumari (NSS Programme Officer) and Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem (HOD English) coordinated the programme. Prof. Shikha Bhasin (HOD History) and Dr. Harmeet Kour (HOD Punjabi) were among the other faculty members who graced the occasion.
