KATHUA, APRIL 19: Government Degree College Ramkote, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), conducted its maiden Orientation Program on JK Bharat Scouts and Guides today.
The initiative aimed to introduce students to the core values, mission, and activities of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, fostering a spirit of discipline, leadership, and community service.
Prof. Pankaj Nadan, the IQAC Convenor presented a formal welcome address to commence the event. The College Principal Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul spoke on the JKBSG orientation programme and emphasized how the Scouts and Guides movement builds character, confidence, and a sense of civic duty among youth.
Resource persons from the JK Bharat Scouts and Guides Jammu Haroon Malik and Yash Paul led the orientation programme, providing insights into the history, objectives, and functioning of the movement. They engaged participants in an interactive session, shared real-life success stories, and outlined various opportunities available through the Scouts and Guides at the college level.
As a gesture of gratitude the Principal of the college presented mementos to the esteemed Resource Persons, honoring their valuable presence. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Suresh Chander.
Faculty who graced the occasion included Prof.Anu Sharma, Dr. Shakeeb, Dr Anu Salaria, Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Poonam Rani, Sakshi Mahajan, Preeti Mahajan, Sushil Singh, Krishan Singh and Ankush.
