KATHUA, AUGUST 07: To commemorate the 79th year of India’s Independence, Government Degree College Ramkote today organised a seminar on “Role of J&K youth in achieving Viksit Bharat@2047” under the patronage of Principal Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul.
Students from BA Semesters I, III and V participated, presenting their views on youth contributions to nation-building. They discussed entrepreneurship, employment generation in saffron and lavender cultivation, mushroom farming, the need to avoid drug abuse, and promoting road safety.
Prof Pankaj Nandan and Prof Vasundra Raje judged the event. Janvi Devi (BA Sem III) secured first place, followed by Sulekha Devi (BA Sem V) and Sakshi Devi.
The event, coordinated by Prof Anu Sharma, NSS PO, encouraged student leadership and highlighted youth roles in realising the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
