RAMNAGAR, JUNE 19: The NCORD Cell of Government Degree College Ramnagar organised a thought-provoking Symposium on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan today under the esteemed patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse among the youth and to promote a drug-free society.

The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Sham Singh, Convenor NCORD Cell. He highlighted the objectives of the symposium and emphasised the collective responsibility of educational institutions, society, and individuals in combating the menace of drug abuse.

A total of 10 students participated in the symposium, delivering insightful speeches on the causes, consequences, and preventive strategies related to drug addiction.

The Principal of the College commended the efforts of the NCORD Cell and appreciated the students for their meaningful contributions. He said “Awareness and education are the most powerful tools in the fight against drug abuse. Institutions must serve as strongholds of discipline, awareness, and social responsibility to build a drug-free India.”
