DODA, AUGUST 12: The Department of Biochemistry at Government Medical College Doda today organised Bio-Comp 2025, a poster presentation event. This academic programme highlighted the enthusiasm, creativity and knowledge of MBBS Phase-I students, who actively presented posters on topics related to biochemistry and medicine.
The event was organised under the leadership of Dr Mir Kaisar Ahmad, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department, with his dedicated team, and held under the distinguished patronage of Professor Dr Rakesh Bahl, Principal of GMC Doda. His visionary guidance has been instrumental in encouraging student-centred academic initiatives at the institution.
The event witnessed comprehensive participation, with students showcasing their understanding of human health through well-researched and visually engaging poster presentations. The academic rigour was upheld through expert evaluation by a multidisciplinary panel of judges. The judging panel included Dr Sufhia Akhtar (Microbiology), Dr Altaf Ahmed Malik (General Surgery), Dr Suresh Kotwal (Community Medicine), Dr Sumat-Ul-Khurshid (Pathology) and Dr Mir Kaisar Ahmad (Biochemistry). Their combined expertise ensured fair assessments, valuable feedback and constructive suggestions for improving future academic performances.
The programme concluded with a formal prize distribution ceremony, recognising the exceptional efforts of participating students. This recognition not only celebrated the hard work of the winners but also motivated all participants to strive for academic excellence.
