DODA, DECEMBER 22: A series of people-centric activities were organised across District Doda on day 4 of the Good Governance Week, delivering wide range of services and on the spot redressal of grievances.
Public outreach and grievance redressal camps were organised at Tehsil Headquarters Sewa–Chiralla, Panchayat Kastigarh-A (Block Kastigarh) and Bhaderwah (Old Bus Stand Pasri).
Officers from the line departments addressed public grievances, imparted awareness about government welfare schemes and facilitated services related to revenue, social welfare, health, education, rural development and other departments.
At Bhaderwah, the Social Welfare Department gave away sanction orders to eligible pension beneficiaries.
A one-day awareness camp was organised by the Area Marketing Office (AMO) at village Shangroo-Kumhari, where farmers, Self Help Group (SHG) members and educated youth participated in large numbers. The participants were sensitised to the Government schemes related to agriculture marketing, livelihood enhancement and entrepreneurship. They were encouraged to avail benefits of the same to attain sustainable livelihood. Additionally, Gram Sabha meetings were convened at Bhatyas and Gondow-A, providing villagers a platform to finalize development works for the area(s), discuss infrastructure needs and project grievances, thereby strengthening participatory democracy.
Further, the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department organised Grievance Redressal and e-KYC Camps at different locations across the district. These camps facilitated on-the-spot resolution of ration card and PDS-related issues and completion of e-KYC to enhance transparency and improve service delivery. A public complaint regarding overcharging by Tempo and Eco Tata Magic operators on Assar–Thanda Pani and Charota Road routes was also promptly addressed, with directions issued to ensure strict adherence to prescribed fare rates.
