RAMBAN, DECEMBER 4: Government Polytechnic Ramban organized an industrial visit for students to Shivalik Cement Factory, Udhampur, sponsored by BIS Jammu. The visit was specifically designed for 3rd-semester Civil Engineering students.
The students, accompanied by Lecturer Hritam Swami and Head of the Department, Electronics and Communication, Er Pawan Kumar, showed keen interest in the factory’s operations. They asked various questions regarding the manufacturing process, safety factors, and quality control measures.
The Owner of the Cement Factory provided insightful guidance, explaining the functioning of different stages in the cement plant. This visit proved to be highly beneficial for the Civil Engineering students, offering them hands-on experience and exposure to the latest technologies in the cement industry.
