DODA, MAY 13: The Health Department Doda, in collaboration with a local NGO, organized a Multi Specialty Health Camp here at the remote Village Dhara.

The camp was inaugurated by the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rather in the presence of Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor and representatives from the NGO.

During the camp, a wide range of healthcare services were provided to the people of the area including consultation by General Physicians, Consultant Gynecologist, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dermatologist, Eye Specialist and Child Specialist.

The Health Department also provided on-spot ultrasound facility through the MMU vehicle, besides NCD screening and free medicines. Sanitary pads were also distributed among locals.

The camp received an overwhelming response from the public as more than 700 patients availed free health check-ups and medical consultation by the dedicated team of doctors and healthcare professionals.

The CMO appreciated the efforts of the NGO and the health staff for reaching out to people living in far-flung and remote areas. He stated that such initiatives play a vital role in ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare services at the doorstep of the needy population.
