RAMBAN OCTOBER 11: Continuing its commitment to the welfare of people in remote and high-altitude areas, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the AYUSH Department organized a Medical-cum-Veterinary Camp at Chachal today.

The initiative aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare and veterinary support to the local populace and the Gujjar-Bakarwal communities residing in the region. A dedicated team of five doctors – including one Army doctor, two female doctors, one AYUSH doctor and one veterinary doctor – rendered their services during the event.

The camp offered free medical consultations, medicines and health awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition and prevention of seasonal ailments. Simultaneously, the veterinary team extended medical care to livestock, addressing common animal health issues faced by the herding community.

A total of 672 individuals benefited from the camp, comprising 340 males, 200 females and the remaining children, while 112 animals received veterinary treatment.

The initiative showcased the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to community welfare under the motto “Seva Parmo Dharma,” reinforcing its message of solidarity through compassionate service to the people — “Hum Aapke Saath Hai.”
