DC reviews status of conservation works, on ground impact of interventions in Udhampur District

UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 09: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex to review the implementation of Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari 2.0 campaign under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, ‘Catch the Rain’.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh; Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash; ACP Dr Ashwani Hansa and other district officers. During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of the progress achieved under Jal Shakti Abhiyan Catch the Rain 2025.

She directed the stakeholder department to improve performance under the programme, while emphasizing time-bound completion of works, including construction of artificial groundwater recharge structures.

The DC directed the department to make the Jal Shakti Kendra fully functional at the earliest. She further instructed the concerned departments to geo-tag all water bodies, appoint nodal officers and submit weekly progress reports in this regard.

She also directed the ADDC to closely monitor the implementation of Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari 2.0 to ensure coordinated efforts and tangible results on the ground.
