Emphasizes strict adherence to quality specifications, completion timelines

Javed Rana inspects Tribal Research Institute at Khimber

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 6: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forests and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahamd Rana, today visited Tribal Research Institute (TRI) at Khimber Harwan here to inspect the ongoing construction and other works being executed there.

Secretary Tribal Affairs, Director Tribal Affairs Department and other officers from Revenue, R&B and Tribal Affairs departments were present on the occasion.

The concerned officer apprised the Minster that the construction of Tribal Research Institute is being carried out over 25 Kanal of land. The Institute shall have all the modern facilities and will consist of high-end computer lab, recreational and multipurpose hall besides nine classrooms and other related infrastructure, they added.

Javed Rana stressed upon the executing agency to gear up their men and machinery so that the project could be completed within the stipulated time frame. He issued on the spot instructions to officers of concerned departments to strictly adhere to quality specifications and completion timelines of these vital works.

The Minister directed the concerned officers to educate the Tribal population about schemes like Pre-Matric scholarships and other tribal welfare and development programmes so that maximum people gets benefitted.
