BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 05: Minister for Agriculture Production Department, Rural Development Department, and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar today chaired a review meeting at Dak Bungalow Chijhama with officers from Horticulture and Agriculture Departments to assess the damage caused by the hailstorm that hit Rafiabad yesterday.

The Minister directed the concerned officers to conduct field assessments on priority and compile a comprehensive report of losses incurred by farmers and horticulturists so that necessary assistance is provided to affected farmers.

Minister Javid Dar visited several villages, including the worst-hit areas, to assess the damage first-hand. He interacted with farmers in their orchards and listened to their concerns. The Minister assured them that the government will provide all possible assistance to help farmers.

The visit of the Minister highlights the Government’s proactive approach in addressing the concerns of farmers and horticulturists, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and assistance in times of need.
