J&K reports 314 fresh cases, no death in last 24 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday reported 314 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 4,280 while no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.

With no more deaths, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,745 and 314 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 451,330.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 314 new cases, 126 belong to Kashmir division while as 188 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 286,478 including 281,627 recoveries and 2,422 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 164,852 including 160,678 recoveries and 2,323 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,280 including 2,429 from Kashmir division and 1,851 from Jammu division.

With 937 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 451,330 which is 98.003 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 63 from Srinagar, 10 from Baramulla, 22 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 13 from Kupwara, 05 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 188 from Jammu division include 67 from Jammu district, 14 from Udhampur, 09 from Rajouri, 52 from Doda, 20 from Kathua, 09 from Samba, 06 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 10 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.

As per officials figures, 101,933 positive cases including 907 deaths and 99,808 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,511 including 304 deaths and 36,964 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,737 including 34,377 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,403 including 18,150 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,648 including 174 deaths and 21,203 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,395 including 22,025 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,634 cases including 13,339 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,620 including 13,435 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,294 including 16,148 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,303 including 6,178 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 75,512 including 73,513 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,687 including 14,475 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,777 including 12,478 recoveries and 248 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,142 including 11,050 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,342 including 11,050 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,068 including 8,890 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,835 including 5,750 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,712 including 7,562 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Poonch, 8,040 including 7,818 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,688 including 8,581 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 5,991,786 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 31,052 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,280 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 5,509,359 persons have completed the surveillance period and 442,350 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 22,475,603 samples are available. Out of 22,475,603 the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,024,273 while as 451,330 have tested positive, among them 4,280 persons are active, 442,305 persons have recovered and 4,745 persons have died—(KNO)
