The skirmishes and war flames in Ukraine are seemingly reaching at the stage of bonhomie after the withdrawal of troops by Russia, claiming that the country doesn’t want any hostilities in Europe.
The history stands testimony to the fact that there has been no positive outcome of the hostilities between the countries, be it in Europe or South Asia. The skirmishes and the war like situation have always proven detrimental for the countries, who indulged in it.
Similarly, the Ukraine crisis has so far led to the killing of innocent people and also devastation to many families who lost their homes.
It is observed and a well-known fact that the enmity between the two countries can never remain confined to the two only, but the involvement of other countries, either by the parleys or the action, has been witnessed in the past as well, thus, the Ukraine crisis is simultaneously endangering the peace in other countries as well.
If we talk about India, the Ukraine crisis has the potential to not only endanger the peace here, but could also affect the economy here as well. The main economic impact in India would be that the gas and oil prices would soar, which would leave the Indians to lurch at large.
However, the process to pull back its troops by Russia from the Ukraine border is lessening the tensions all across the globe as the possibilities of war like situation has declined to a large extent.
The statements coming from Moscow about its readiness to discuss confidence-building with the United States and its NATO allies has indicated a signal of bonhomie, which is the need of the hour to ensure peace across Europe.
The positive signal towards the bonhomie at the end would certainly ensure peace not only within the twin countries but in entire Europe as well as in South Asia. Therefore, there is a need to ensure smooth parleys between Russia and NATO and thus the interference of other countries at this vital juncture is necessary to put an end to all hostilities and ensure effective bonhomie on the ground.
