J&K reports 547 fresh cases, no deaths

J&K reports 6 new covid-19 cases, no death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 547 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the number of active cases to 4,927 while no more death was reported in the UT in last 24 hours and death toll stands at 4,776.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 547 new cases, 477 belong to Kashmir division while as 70 to Jammu division.

He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 298,612 including 292,239 recoveries and 2,430 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 172,762 including 169,432 recoveries and 2,346 deaths.

He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 4,927; including 3,943 from Kashmir division and 994 from Jammu division.

With 766 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 461,671 which is 97.94 percent of the total cases.

“Among the fresh 547 cases today, 125 are from Srinagar, 171 from Baramulla, 60 from Budgam, 18 from Pulwama  30 from Kupwara, 35 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 22 from Ganderbal, 07 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 70 are from Jammu division that include 38 from Jammu district, 05 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 02 from Kuthua , 05 from Samba, 06 from Kishtwar, 02 from Poonch, 08 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,699,469 persons in J&K are under observation while 137 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 5,146 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 6,689,318 persons have completed the surveillance period and 311 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,254,873 samples are available.

“Out of 26,254,873 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,783,499 while 471,374 have tested positive, among them 4,927 cases are active, 461,671 have recovered and 4,776 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
