KATHUA, JUNE 24: To generate public awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse, the District Social Welfare Department today organized a Nukkad Natak (street play) here at Shaheedi Chowk to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The street play was presented by a group of local artists. Through their powerful and expressive performances, the artists conveyed the adverse impact of substance abuse on individuals, families and society, while urging the youth to stay away from narcotics and support the cause of a drug-free nation.
To reinforce the message, T-shirts with the slogan “Say No to Drugs” were distributed among the youth. The initiative aimed to motivate young citizens to become ambassadors of change and actively participate in spreading awareness against drug abuse.
The event served as an effective medium to sensitise the community on the importance of combating substance abuse and building a healthier, addiction-free society.
