KUPWARA, APRIL 30: District Administration Kupwara today refuted the fake news reports uploaded by some news channels and a newspaper portal today.

The online portals of ‘The WEEK’ news magazine and NDTV.Com, today mentioned in their headlines “5 killed, several injured in landslides and flash floods in Kupwara of J&K”, which is totally baseless.

In a statement issued today, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, said that the headlines run by both the news channels are fake, fabricated and misleading as there is no flood related deaths in Kupwara district,

Issuing a strong rebuttal of the fake news, DC said that no flood related deaths have occurred in Kupwara district.
It is expected that before any news is uploaded or published, facts should be verified.
However, the online Portal of said news magazine and news channel have failed in doing so.
