LC&MA conducts spl demolition drive, demolishes 02 illegal constructions

Srinagar: The Enforcement Wing of Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LC&MA) today conducted a special demolition drive in the areas of DodohMohalla Northern Foreshore road.
During the demolition drive, illegal constructions were demolished including one shop and one plinth. At the site of the shop there was stiff resistance from the locals which resulted in partial demolition of the structure. Also the encroachment of an illegally developed approach road for ferrying illegal building material was cut in the middle to stop the transportation of illegal building material.
All the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction and in lake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions| encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue its demolition drives of illegal constructions| removal of encroachments.
Moreover the Tipper|Load carrier owners are advised not to carry| ferry any construction material in the prohibited area of Dal| Nigeen Lake without getting proper permission and in case anybody found shall be dealt with as per law. Also, CCTV Cameras have been installed and barricades have been erected in order to curb the transportation of illegal building material in the LCMA jurisdiction.
