DODA, DECEMBER 11: The Legal Metrology Department (LMD) today carried out an intensive market inspection in Doda town and its adjoining areas to verify compliance with Legal Metrology norms.
During the drive, the department conducted 21 inspections across various business establishments, checking weighing and measuring instruments, packaged commodities, price declarations and other mandatory compliances.
In the course of the inspection, the LMD team found several violations related to measurements and non-adherence to mandatory declarations. The department imposed a penalty of Rs. 20,000 on the erring traders.
