RAJOURI, MAY 08: The District Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation Team organized an awareness programme at Government Higher Secondary School Ghambir Mughlan here today.
The programme aimed to raise awareness about the importance of voter participation and encourage eligible citizens to register as voters.
The SVEEP team discussed various aspects of the electoral process, including voter registration, the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), and the ethical conduct of elections.
The team also emphasized the role of young voters in shaping the future of democracy. The team members encouraged students to become active and responsible citizens by participating in the electoral process and making informed choices.
The programme was attended by a large number of students and staff of the Higher Sec. School Ghambir Mughlan. They expressed their gratitude to the SVEEP team for providing valuable information and insights.
The event was held under the guidance of Om Parkash Bhagat, District Election Officer Rajouri, and Nodal Officer SVEEP, Prof. Iqbal Raina. The team, comprising Prof. Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Prof. Ajaz Nazir, Dr. Sajjad Ahmed Mir (Lecturer), Ayaz Ahmed Raina (Lecturer)Aftab Ahmed Shawl (Master), and Samara Sultana (Teacher), conducted the programme. Dr. Sajjad Ahmed Mir welcomed the attendees, while Prof. Manzoor Dar and Prof. Iqbal Raina served as speakers on the occasion. Shamshir Ahmed Khan Principal of the higher secondary school Ghambir Mughlan presented the vote of thanks.
