SHOPIAN, MAY 11: The Chief Education office, Shopian today organised a programme under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) to create awareness among citizens about the importance of their participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024 at the Auditorium Hall of Government Degree College (GDC) Shopian.
The programme was organized under the auspices of the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines and included several informative sessions and interactive activities to engage the participants.
The event was attended by faculty members, officials, public and a large number of students.
On the occasion, students of different educational institutions performed various skits and threw light on the importance and casting of votes.
Speakers also stressed upon gathering for exercising their franchise and also motivating near and dear ones to cast their vote on the poll day.
During the programme, informative sessions on various topics related to the electoral process and the importance of ethical voting was held.
The programme received positive feedback from the participants, who found it informative and engaging. Participants also appreciated the efforts of the Nodal officer, SVEEP, Shopian for organizing such a programme and creating awareness about the electoral process.
Principal of Government Degree College, Shopian, Chief Education officer, Shopian, besides other officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
