Srinagar, Aug 17 : Mubassir Latifi Saturday assumed charge as the In-charge Deputy Inspector General of Police (Pers.) at Police Headquarters (PHQ), succeeding DIG M Suleman Choudhary.
A formal handing over and taking over of charge ceremony was held between the officers.
As per the news agency, Latifi has served the department in various capacities including DySP SOG Sopore, DySP Hqrs. Jammu, SDPO Shopian, SDPO Nowshera, Additional SP Jammu, SP South Jammu, SP Ramban, SP Kulgam, SP Rajouri, SP Crime Jammu, AIG (Pers) PHQ, AIG (Prov/Tpt) PHQ, CO-IRP -15th Bn., and CO-IRP-10th Bn. Meanwhile, Maqsood-u-Zaman also took over the charge as the DIG North Kashmir Baramulla
