DODA, MAY 28: Municipal Council Doda today carried out a rigorous anti-polythene and anti-encroachment drive across various parts of the town.
Led by Executive Officer Yasir Wani, enforcement teams conducted thorough inspections across various market areas. During the drive, approximately 10 kilogram of banned polythene was seized and a compound fine amounting to ₹1,200 was imposed on traders found in possession of the banned material or encroaching on public pathways.
The team appealed to traders, vendors, and the general public to abide by the ban on single-use plastic, refrain from encroachments, and support the administration in maintaining the town’s cleanliness and ecological health.
