SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 30: The Municipal Council (MC) Shopian today organised an impressive felicitation cum distribution function of kits for the appreciation of Sanitation workers of the Council.
The event aimed to recognise the hard work and dedication of sanitation workers in maintaining the health and hygiene of the town.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, who expressed gratitude towards the workers for their noble services.
The DC also presided over the distribution function of uniform kits and provided the same to more than 80 workers.
He handed over keys of recently allotted two housing units under PMAY 2.0 (U)
Shahid said that the District Administration is committed to empowering the workers with other necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
During the event, the CEO, MC Shopian outlined various schemes and initiatives taken by the council for the welfare of sanitation workers.
The workers were also felicitated with mementos. Additionally, a medical camp was also organized to conduct health check-ups and provide remedial healthcare measures for the workers.
ADDC, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, DIO, CEO MC, LDM J&K Bank, and other concerned officers and officials of MC Shopian were present in the event along with scores of sanitation workers.
