SRINAGAR, JULY 30: Mission Director (MD) Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM), Dr Shubhra Sharma today virtually inaugurated a comprehensive four-day capacity building programme (CBP), focused on IBCB (Institution Building & Capacity Building) sub-themes, Gender and FNHW (Food Nutrition Health & WASH) for the Training of Trainers (TOTs) of Kashmir division.

This training programme, facilitated by a team of experts from the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), aims to enhance the capacity of women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to effectively promote gender equality and nutrition and health initiatives across the region.

During the inauguration, Dr Shubhra engaged with the participants, emphasizing the critical role of trainers as ambassadors of JKRLM’s mission to foster an equitable society. She called upon the trainers to serve diligently as catalysts for change, advocating for gender equality and improved health and nutrition outcomes within their communities.

“We are committed to building a society where gender equality and health are prioritized,” said Dr. Shubhra. “I urge all participants to take this opportunity seriously and to extend the benefits of this training to their communities ensuring that our collective efforts lead to meaningful change.”

Dr.Shubhra further stated, “Empowering our trainers with the right knowledge and tools is essential to creating a ripple effect of positive change. Each one of them has the potential to be a powerful advocate for gender equality and better health, ultimately transforming lives and building a more inclusive society.” she added.

The training programme is part of JKRLM’s broader initiative to strengthen community-driven development efforts.
