Mega Awareness programme for Women Voters under SVEEP held at Kupwara

KUPWARA, MARCH 26: As part of the calendar of activities, a constituency level Mega Awareness program under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was today organized at BHSS Kupwara.

The awareness programme was organised to specifically target the female voters of the Kupwara for their enthusiastic participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The programme was presided over by ARO, 3- Kupwara, Irfan Bahadur. District Nodal Officer, SVEEP, Abdul Majeed Dar; ZEOs and Principals of Kupwara and Khumriyal Zone besides hundreds of women   including young female voters participated in the mega program.

On the occasion, ARO appreciated the enthusiasm of women voters of assembly constituency Kupwara. He, while highlighting the importance of the electoral process in shaping the future of the nation, underlined the importance of voter registration and participation in voting for establishing a vibrant and truly peoples’ democracy where there is accountability and transparency.

District Nodal Officer SVEEP emphasized for strengthening the democracy through greater electoral participation at the grassroots level.

Speakers on the occasion urged the women folk, especially young female voters to enthusiastically participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha election and contribute to the strengthening of democracy. They also highlighted the significance of active participation of the women in the electoral process for betterment of the nation.

Scintillating cultural programme, felicitation of students achievers, skit on SVEEP and essay competition were the main highlights of the program.

The Coordinator SVEEP, Rayees Masroor administered the Voting pledge to the participants.
