Srinagar, Apr 09 : Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq Tuesday expressed heartfelt greetings to the Islamic World and all the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. His Eid message is as follows:
On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Islamic World and all the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir, a statement issued to the news agency.
“We are celebrating today’s Eid in these circumstances while we are facing various challenges and problems at the social, societal and religious levels. As a Muslim Ummah, we are facing many problems locally as well as on the global level as Muslims regarding our Milli identity,” Mirwaiz said.
By the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, all of us have been blessed with an opportunity for worship, fasting purification of the soul and improvement of our conduct during the blessed month of fasting. Let us strive to maintain this spiritual atmosphere and disposition in the future as well, he added.
“On this occasion of Eid, as a servant of Islam and an advocate of humanity, I urge the entire community to focus not only on the rights of Allah but also on the significant religious obligations related to the rights of fellow human beings. As we strive to fulfill our personal responsibilities, it is also incumbent upon us, as part of our religious duties, to assist and cooperate with all those members of society who are deserving of our attention and support.”
“I pray that this Eid brings happiness, joy, peace, and tranquility for all of us. and my prayer to Allah is that, through the blessings of this great sacred month, He makes all our difficulties easy,” he said.
