Srinagar, Aug 30: Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Council on Wednesday welcomed the visit of Miss World and other pageant winners to Kashmir and said that it will give a boost tourism sector in the region.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), J&K Tourism Council spokesperson said that they welcome Miss World crown holders to Kashmir, as it will definitely give a boost to the Tourism sector in the region as a whole.
He said that it not only will gear the local administration to make their efforts to improve upon the logistics and infra but will also encourage private investment in the sector.
He added that while Kashmir is a jewel in the region in terms of its rich and cultural diversity in the barge of cultural exchange, transgressions shouldn’t happen. “Sensitivities of the local populace need to be taken care off,” he said. (KNS)
