KUPWARA, DECEMBER 05: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Lolab, Qaysar Jamshaid Lone, today chaired a crucial review-cum-preparatory meeting with senior officials from the Power Development Department (PDD) and the Jal Shakti Department to evaluate the status of ongoing infrastructure projects and finalize the strategy for winter preparedness across the constituency.
With the approaching harsh winter season, the MLA underscored the paramount importance of ensuring uninterrupted and reliable delivery of essential services, specifically power and drinking water, to the residents of Lolab. He directed all concerned departments to ensure complete logistical and infrastructural readiness on the ground.
The MLA released Rs. 50 lakh out of his CDF for improvement and augmentation of Power infrastructure in lolab constituency.
Following the thorough review, the MLA issued several strict directives, emphasizing the need for removal of Bottlenecks, Immediate action to clear any obstacles hindering the timely completion of crucial projects, adherence to timelines, enhanced Coordination and cooperation between the PDD and Jal Shakti departments to preemptively avoid any disruption in services during the winter.
The MLA stressed that the welfare and convenience of the residents remain the top priority, and zero tolerance will be shown for any lapses in service delivery during the peak winter period.
The meeting was attended by Engineers from PDD, STD Jal Shakti officials, representatives from NTPC, officials presented comprehensive briefings on the current progress of developmental works and detailed their respective contingency plans formulated for the winter months.
