DODA, NOVEMBER 19: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda, under the supervision of ARTO Rajesh Gupta, organized a series of awareness programs to promote safe driving practices and road safety. The initiatives targeted school children and vehicle operators, emphasising the importance of responsible behavior on the roads.
The MVD team conducted a comprehensive awareness session for students at Ex-Servicemen Higher Secondary School Thathri, focusing on road safety rules and safe driving habits.
The program aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among the youth, encouraging them to follow traffic rules, wear helmets, and avoid distractions like mobile phones while driving. Students were also educated on pedestrian safety and the need for vigilance on roads.
In Gandoh, ARTO Rajesh Gupta, along with Dy. SP Traffic K.D. Singh and Naib Tehsildar Gandoh, held an awareness drive for vehicle operators. The participants were acquainted with the challenges of winter driving, advising operators to prepare their vehicles for the season, including using appropriate tires and ensuring proper maintenance. Operators were also sensitized about the dangers of overloading, using mobile phones while driving, and overcharging passengers. The team urged adherence to speed limits and highlighted the critical role of safe driving in preventing accidents during winter.
