KULGAM, NOVEMBER 19: Principal, Government Degree College (GDC) Kulgam, Prof. Syed Eazaz Hussain Rizvi today released Dr. Gowhar Hamid Dar’s 26th book titled ‘Nano-phytoremediation and Environmental Pollution: Strategies and Mechanism.’
The book discusses nano-phytoremediation, use of nanotechnology in combination with phytoremediation to restore polluted environs and the potential of plants in association with nanomaterials to effectively remediate polluted areas. It also highlights new strategies to remediate polluted environments due to anthropogenic actions.
The book comprehensively discusses the innovative and efficient technologies to restore the damaged environments and to evaluate the success of nano-phytoremediation strategies, cost effectiveness and nano-informatics in safe nanotechnology. This book promises as a reference material in the direction to achieve the goal of a sustainable environment.
Principal congratulated Dr. Dar on achieving this incredible milestone in his early career. He is an Assistant Professor and Head Department of Environmental Science from Government Degree College Kulgam of J&K’s Higher Education Department (JK-HED). This was his 26th book, and published with a reputed international publishing company, CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group.
Dr. Dar has more than 80 publications to his credit besides being the Principal Investigator/Co-Principal Investigator for various Research Projects at Sri Pratap College Srinagar. His major area of specialization is Environmental Science with special focus on fish diseases and microbiology.
