District wide book donation drive begins in Shopian; Over 100 books donated across multiple government offices on Day 1

SHOPIAN, APRIL 23: District Administration Shopian recorded a strong response to the ongoing Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan with an encouraging response to the Book Donation Drive held across the district on Day 1.

More than 100 books were donated at multiple locations including Sub Division ,Tehsil offices, Block offices, Municipal Council, and Mini Secretariat, reflecting active participation from officers and officials across departments.

The initiative, themed “Promote Books, Not Drugs,” aims to encourage reading habits while spreading awareness against drug abuse.

The campaign seeks to channel the energy of youth towards constructive and knowledge based pursuits, reinforcing the message that books can serve as a powerful alternative to harmful substances.

District Administration have urged all officers and officials to actively contribute and ensure that the message of the campaign reaches every household across Shopian.

The administration emphasized collective responsibility in building a drug free society through awareness, education, and community participation.
