VIJAYPUR, JULY 31: An impactful Drug De-Addiction Awareness Programme was convened today at Government Higher Secondary School Vijaypur, under the aegis of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The initiative was spearheaded by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in close coordination with the Principal of the host school.

Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma was the Chief Guest. In his enlightening address, the DC sensitized the gathering—comprising students, faculty, and staff—about the escalating menace of substance abuse among youth, and exhorted all present to remain vigilant and united in the mission to foster a drug-free society.

The programme was marked by evocative speeches and thought-provoking poems delivered by students. The presentations spread awareness about the deleterious effects of drug abuse and advocated for a healthy, purposeful lifestyle. A particularly memorable moment was a profoundly moving address delivered by Harbans Lal, Master, which deeply resonated with the audience and underscored the urgent need for collective action.

Chief Education Officer Kewal Krishan extended his sincere appreciation to all guests, participants, and attendees in a heartfelt vote of thanks. The proceedings were conducted with remarkable poise and efficiency by Renu Sharma, who served as the Stage Secretary.

The event concluded with a resounding call to action, serving as a poignant reminder of the shared responsibility to combat drug addiction and to ensure a healthier, safer future for the younger generation.
