GANDERBAL, MAY 04: Under the vision of Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan @ 100 Days, schools across District Ganderbal today transformed into centres of awareness, reflection and collective awakening through a series of counselling sessions on mental health and emotional well-being.
The initiative witnessed the active participation of nearly 37,000 students, teachers and parents, sending a strong message that a healthy mind forms the cornerstone of a progressive and harmonious society.
During the sessions, resource persons and educators sensitised participants about the importance of mental health, encouraging young minds to overcome negativity, anxiety and substance abuse. The programmes emphasized the values of hope, resilience, empathy and moral responsibility, guiding students towards a balanced and purposeful life.
Speakers highlighted that education goes beyond academic learning and must also focus on character building, inner strength and responsible citizenship. They stressed the need for a supportive ecosystem where families, teachers and society work in unison to nurture emotionally strong and socially responsible individuals.
The district-wide initiative was widely appreciated for fostering awareness and promoting a culture of compassion and mindfulness among the youth. It reinforced the commitment of the administration towards building a drug-free, mentally resilient and enlightened society.
The programme concluded with a collective resolve to carry forward the message of mental well-being and continue sustained efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
